Advocates Launch Website with Educational Resources and Best Practices for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System
ELC is proud to to announce the launch of a dynamic new website focused on educational success for youth involved in the juvenile justice system – Blueprint for Change: Education Success for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System. The site is a project of The Legal Center for Youth Justice and Education (LCYJE) – a national collaboration of Southern Poverty Law Center, Juvenile Law Center, Education Law Center, and the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law. It is a resource for adults who serve justice-system involved youth and youth themselves that offers a framework for promoting educational success.
The Blueprint for Change: Education Success for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System presents 10 goals that set forth the broad framework for promoting education success for young people involved in the juvenile justice system and benchmarks for success with examples and resources broken down both nationally and state by state. The Blueprint is easy to navigate and will continually evolve with new resources and tools.
We hope you will spend some time on the Blueprint website and share it with your community.
ELC will co-host a webinar on the website and its use June 27, 2017 at 2pm EST. Register here if you’d like to attend the webinar.
